Paola Daniela Virgilio is an educator, university lecturer and coach. She supports individuals, families and organizations on paths of personal growth, skills development and relational well-being.
About me
He is a teacher at the Ministry of Education and Merit and a contract lecturer at the University of Palermo. He holds the role of National Vice President of ANPE – National Association of Italian Pedagogists. He is a national point of reference in the fields of education, human development and training innovation. He works across research, health and training, integrating pedagogy, neuroscience and public policies to turn scientific knowledge into high-impact operational models.

Scholar of active ageing, lifelong education and cognitive training, she develops projects on wellbeing, prevention and enhancement of cognitive functions, with particular attention to pathways dedicated to Alzheimer’s and dementias.
She is an expert in educational design, needs analysis, human resources assessment and development of transversal skills. Since 2011 she has worked on European policies and directly managed EU funding programmes, with consulting, research and training activities for bodies, universities, schools and organisations.
She drafted Regional Law no. 22/2015 on Research Biobanks in Sicily, receiving public recognition from the Brain Research Foundation for her scientific and regulatory contribution. She is appointed by the Sicily USR for the National Evaluation System (Law 107/2015) and teaches in university master’s programmes on European policies, innovation and project design.
She is known nationally for experimentation on building and measuring transversal skills (MIM and INVALSI – Sicily USR), for developing the methodological model of the Pedagogical Workshop and for her narrative techniques of Wonder and Amazement, applied to training, leadership and personal development.
She carries out high-profile life coaching aimed at career men and women, executives, managers and professionals, guiding them along paths of conscious leadership, personal growth and building balance between professional success and emotional life.
She works with management and corporate human resources through experimental and innovative programs for human capital development, organizational well-being and talent enhancement. She is engaged in parenting support and family conflict mediation, supporting families through the most complex developmental transitions and in building new educational balances.
She is the author of numerous books and publications, a speaker at national and international conferences, and a communicator on the themes of education and learning success, training, family, work and society. Her work combines scientific rigor, strategic vision and transformative capacity.

Scientific and Project Activities in the USR /MIM context
Scientific lead (Teacher assigned to USR Sicily Projects)
In the project of experimentation on transversal skills promoted by the USR Sicily, the pedagogue Paola Daniela Virgilio carries out roles of scientific and methodological responsibility.
- The project was developed with the involvement of 53 Italian schools and led to operational indicators for assessing transversal skills, not only as a theoretical concept but as an observable and measurable practice.

Teaching at the University of Palermo (UNIPA)
Paola Daniela Virgilio is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Palermo (UNIPA), with teaching and educational support roles in the fields of pedagogy and educational psychology. She is involved in courses in Special Pedagogy, Developmental and Learning Psychology, Special Didactics: a metacognitive and cooperative approach, within university pathways and training programs, including the TFA.
